Trillium Dell Timberworks specializes in the restoration of historic homes and barns. We believe it is important to preserve our early heritage evident in these timeless structures.

The Phelps Barn

In 2002 Trillium Dell Timberworks started restoring a historic barn for the Elmwood Community Foundation. The barn, which is known locally as the 'Phelps Barn', is a early hand hewn square rule frame designed originally as horse barn by one of the founding families of Elmwood. The Phelps barn, which will continue being restored this summer, is to be used as a museum and interactive learning site in the future.

Orange Chapel Barn Restored as a Home

In 2000, Trillium Dell Timberworks salvaged a Pre-Civil War 1840's barn that was going to be destroyed. The barn was constructed of hand hewn oak, walnut, and ash. We moved the barn 13 miles and began the restoration process. The roof had deteriorated beyond repair, so we cut new queen posts, struts, rafter plates and rafters out of oak and white ash. The barn is now being converted into a house and the clients are expecting to move in early this summer.
