Trillium Dell Timberworks can build custom timber frame structures for any purpose. We construct small outdoor projects such as pergolas, lake shelters and pavilions. We have also fabricated and installed timber highlights and trusses in homes.
In April 2004 Trillium Dell Timberworks was awarded the contract to restore and relocate the Pop Collins Cabin in Columbia, MO. See the history of the cabin and view pictures of the progress to date. Trillium Dell dismantled the cabin in May 2004 bringing some of the logs to the shop for repairs. The cabin roof and floor were in good enough condition to be in one piece, and transported to the new site for re-erection. Trillium Dell Timberworks returned to Columbia, MO in October 2004 to re-erect the cabin at the Nifong Park Site. See article in the Columbia Missourian
We designed, fabricated and erected a 34' wide by 34' long by 36' tall timber framed tower for the lobby for the Advanced Health Care Clinic in Germantown, Wisconsin. Kiln dried Douglas fir timbers were used in this project. The four posts are massive 18" x 18" x 36' timbers. 10" x 18" girts connected the posts to the steel structure.
Observation tower: Trillium Dell Timberworks in conjunction with the Timber Framers Guild & Dietrich's NA, designed, built, and erected a 36" tall observation tower at scenic Lake Vermillion in Danville, IL. This project required 4- 32' long bur oaks harvested from the Mississippi river valley cut into octagons at the Trillium Dell Timber Works facility. A workshop was conducted to layout and cut the compound portion the roof. The masterfully done hip roof was then installed on top of the strucure as a single unit. Participants travelled from around the US and Canada to work on this beautiful building, which was completely finished (shingles included) in a two week timeframe in the fall of 2003.
