Summer 2011 Workshop and Rendezvous
We are pleased to say that we all had wonderful time at the Workshop this year. Please follow this link to an article written by Joel McCarty from the Timber Framers Guild.

Join us in Illinois this summer at the Trillium Dell shop and farm for a workshop and rendezvous August 3rd – August 7 of 2011. This year we will be offering a Midwest rendezvous with coursework that directly relates to the Apprentice/Journey worker curriculum developed by the Guild over the last decade. Among other things we will be offering classwork in Dietrich’s software, the most comprehensive and most well designed timber frame software available on the market. However, the focus of our event is compound joinery and will include classwork on developed drawings and hands on application in the shop working with full scale hips and valleys. More details will follow regarding the educational particulars of our event but keep in mind Illinois timber framers are famous for their late nite Stumpkin parties and the Trillium Dell shop now has on onsite brewery with a 60 gallon batch capacity! Camping is available for all attendees, and hotels are available 13 miles west of the shop. Those of you interested in Dietrich’s class work will need a laptop, and drawing supplies will be required for the developed drawing section. No tools will be required for the hands on section except for personal tools you wish to bring along. All attendees will receive 3 meals a day, and nonpaying weekend attendees to the rendevous are welcome to arrive on Saturday.
Fees for the coursework are $480.00 for all 4 days of the workshop or $175.00 per day.
