This Cascade construction frame is composed of Douglas fir, with a second floor, and bridge across the entryway. The front porch is constructed of white oak. It is a principal rafter and purlin frame with 6" SIP walls and 10" SIP roof panels from Fischer SIPS. It was hand cut in the Trillium Dell Beamery in Knoxville, IL and erected by Trillium Dell's experienced crew of framers.
We fabricated and hand raised a 25’ x 36’ Trestlewood II “Salty Fir” frame on an island off the coast of St. John. Four hammer beam style bents form the great room that looks out over the Sir Francis Drake Passage. A 12’ x 25’ kitchen with a loft joins the great room.
Twelve thousand board feet of Trestlewood II "Salty Fir" timbers we used to fabricate the core of this 9,000 square foot home located in a park like setting in the center of Bloomington. Walnut and Port Orford Cedar timbers and logs were used for the exterior gable and porch.
